The Adaptations team

The Adaptations Team at Motability plays a key role in ensuring that individuals with disabilities can access vehicles that meet their specific needs. When the customer is in the process of buying a car they will often speak to the adaptions team to see about the arrangements they will need on there vehicle. The sales executive will then order the car and then once it has arrived this is when the adaptions team will take over.

The Adaptations Team's responsibilities include:

Assessing Individual Needs: The team works with customers to understand their unique requirements. This can involve personal assessments to determine the necessary vehicle adaptations based on mobility limitations.

Recommending Customisations: Once the needs are identified, the team recommends and arranges vehicle modifications. These might include modifications to the car’s seating, controls, ramps, or other features to make it easier and safer for the user to drive or travel.

Coordinating with Approved Suppliers: The team liaises with a network of suppliers and vehicle modification companies. They ensure that the adaptations are done to the highest standards and that the vehicles remain compliant with relevant safety regulations.
